Every Wednesday, the school schedule is modified to give teachers time to play volleyball, or as was the case last week, go hiking in the afternoon. We went to Daegeum mountain in the northern part of Geoje (see map here). The main attraction to the mountain was the jindalrae (진달래) flowers.
The place was actually pretty busy. We took a narrow, steep road up the mountain. Near top, we parked along the side of the road and climbed the rest of the way. The flowers were quite amazing, as was the view of the northern part of the island.
