This video is proof that Korean politicians watch too much professional wrestling and drink too much soju.
According to CBS news (also the source of the video) the lawmakers at the podium are physically occupying it so the majority party cannot take the podium and call for a vote on an impeachment bill. They are trying to impeach some prosecutors who are investigating corruption in the government. Apparently, the prosecutors might be corrupt themselves.
The bill will automatically expire 72 hours after it is introduced unless it is voted on.
It looks like there is only 36 more hours to go...
I guess that's one way to keep a bill you don't like from passing.
Presidential elections are this week in South Korea. Should be interesting to see what develops.
