The school where I work has two special days it celebrates: Halloween and Christmas. Christmas Day is a national holiday, but since it would literally kill Koreans to make a four-day weekend for a holiday, our school was in session and the rest of Korea was at work on Christmas Eve.
The day was very laid back. I showed Christmas movies like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and a skit from Mr. Bean titled "Merry Christmas Mr. Bean" to my classes. The below picture is from my new Canon 400D (aka Rebel XTI). The kids are watching a scene where Mr. Bean gets his head stuck inside a turkey carcass.
While I miss my friends and family back home, it was a nice Christmas Even spent with my new friends and co-workers. After spending all day singing and playing with the kids, we went out for a dinner of Korean barbeque (samgyopsal and galbi).
In closing, I want to leave you with pictures of two of my favorite kindergarten students, four year old Adam, and five year old Megan.
Adam and Megan were my favourite too, Josh.
